Pure magic and something none of us will ever forget

“If you are dreaming of an adventure that feels epic but runs like clockwork, look no further than Adventurous Ewe.

From the very first enquiry to the moment we landed back home, everything was effortless. Truly. The booking process was smooth, the information clear, and every tiny detail thoughtfully handled. All we had to do was turn up and embrace the adventure.

We completed the 8 day Lemosho Route on Mount Kilimanjaro, followed by a 2 day safari before travelling home, 11 unforgettable days in total. Every transfer, every lodge, every briefing, every meal was seamlessly arranged. It felt like having an invisible safety net beneath an already extraordinary experience. Our uk guide Christina was a legend, her knowledge, experience and expertise was second to none and we made a friend (rafiki) for life ❤️

The highlight? Reaching the summit to celebrate a team member’s 50th birthday. Not only did we stand on the roof of Africa together, but the local team somehow produced a birthday cake and led a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday at altitude. It was pure magic and something none of us will ever forget.

Jim and Sue’s meticulous attention to detail is what truly sets Adventurous Ewe apart. They don’t just organise trips, they craft experiences that stay with you long after the boots are unpacked.

I wholeheartedly recommend Adventurous Ewe to plan your next adventure. Ours was extraordinary, and they made it even more special.

About far more than reaching the summit

Under the leadership of Jo Bradshaw, and with the guidance of Janeth and Judy, the journey up Kilimanjaro became about far more than reaching the summit. It was about women supporting women, sharing strength in the toughest moments, and creating space for everyone to discover what they are capable of. Jo’s leadership set the tone for a trip rooted in encouragement, and quiet determination, while Janeth and Judy brought not only expertise on the mountain but an inspiring commitment to lifting up girls in their own community. That spirit of connection and purpose is for me exactly what makes Adventurous Ewe so special – adventure with heart, where challenge, community and opportunity come together.

Fabulous local crew…wonderful on IWD summit to have been lead by UK and local female leaders. Dry tents every night despite awful weather, crew that really wanted the best for us every step of the way, wonderful singing everytime we came into camp, the most fabulous food every single day! Summit experience was amazing but in the end wasn’t the highlight of the trip…interaction with the local crew was! The local crew clearly love being part of the Adventurous Ewe team and they loved their kit donations.
