Memorable moments : So many to mention

A super chance to unlock what personal attributes you can bring to a group of people in a sometimes hostile, challenging environment whilst at the same time, revealing what they can bring to you.

Memorable moments : So many to mention, So I’ll just mention one……..because I was warm and dry at the time and was able to do it at a good pace for me, I really appreciated the walk in the headwind up the hill to Tjakja Hut at the end of the first day… I felt unusually emboldened when Jim designated me to bring up the rear behind A and R. It was probably because he could see my yellow coat better than the others, but I felt a great sense of responsibility at having the task of bringing up the rear behind the girls. I really appreciated it. I remember smelling the wood smoke on the wind from the huts a long long time before it was ever in sight. Getting us all there safely and then reflecting on it over some hot lingonberry juice was special. Thank you.

Two highlights 1. Just standing silently all by myself outside the huts at night to take in the whole atmosphere of the setting and in so doing, touch the universe and feel very connected to it. And secondly, 2. our lunch stops, which allowed us to sense and imbibe both the company of invaluable friends and the majesty of the environment at the same time.

What I like about Jim is that he doesn’t mollycoddle us, but he is definitely there if needed. That is not always an easy thing to get right, particularly with diverse characters. He is always thinking ahead and working behind the scenes to make sure things run correctly. He cleverly gets folks to do a little bit more than they think they can, but doesn’t hesitate to slow it down and help if needed. I think to handle this responsibility in back to back weeks carrying the weight that he did and not lose patience is a bloody good achievement! Thank you Jim.

A fantastic experience

Snowshoe walking through the Kings Trail in the Arctic, led by Jim and Ian from Adventurous Ewe. This experience was one of the toughest due to the weather conditions, however the support and encouragement from the whole team made it a fantastic experience.

An unforgettable experience from start to finish

I recently completed the King’s Trail with Adventurous Ewe, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. It was definitely one of the toughest challenges I’ve taken on – physically demanding and pushing me well out of my comfort zone, but that’s exactly what made it so rewarding.

A huge shoutout to the lovely Jim, whose expert knowledge, calm encouragement, and great sense of humour kept us going every step of the way. His experience really made a difference, especially on the more challenging sections.

And the scenery? Absolutely breathtaking. Every climb was worth it for the views. Truly some of the most stunning landscapes I’ve ever seen.

If you’re up for a challenge and want to experience something truly special, I couldn’t recommend The Kings Trail with Adventurous Ewe more highly!
