Magical

Had the most amazing time trekking Kilimanjaro with Adventurous Ewe. They spent a whole year helping us prepare for the trip through attendance at calls which made everyone feel far more relaxed about something which otherwise could be quite daunting.

The trip itself was magical – amazing views, brilliant food, excellent local guides, motivational speeches, singing and dancing (lots of!)

A truly fantastic trek

Adventurousewe organized a truly fantastic trek for 12 friends and colleagues to Kilimanjaro, with a safari after for a few lucky people!

Jim and Sal really couldn’t do enough for us, organizing regular calls to provide information and answer questions, helping us source equipment (very important!) and even organizing a training weekend in Snowdon as preparation.

They worked tirelessly to ensure that our group, which included a wheelchair user, were well prepared to succeed. Such is the challenge of Kilimanjaro that it’s testament to Jim, Ryan and the local team of guides and porters that 9 of our group made it to the top! It really was a once in a lifetime experience for all of us.

The safari that they organized was also magnificent – across 3 parks we saw the big 5 and had a spectacular few days of recovery.

I can’t recommend the team highly enough, and expect to be calling on them when Machu Picchu comes calling!

An incredible experience

Summiting Kilimanjaro was an incredible experience—one that I’ll treasure for a lifetime. What could have been an overwhelming undertaking was made not only manageable but genuinely enjoyable, thanks to Adventurous Ewe team and their exceptional team.

Before even setting foot on the mountain, Adventurous Ewe provided outstanding preparation resources. They even had a dedicated app, offering everything I needed to understand the climb’s physical demands, a comprehensive packing list tailored to the expedition, and a detailed schedule that included accurate weather forecasts. All the preparation support gave me the confidence and clarity going into the adventure.

However, the true standout was the support I received on the mountain itself. The team’s hands-on approach made all the difference. From daily check-ins to personalised encouragement during the most challenging stretches, Jim and Ryan, all the local guides and team were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in our success. They didn’t just facilitate the climb—they made it a shared journey.

If Kilimanjaro is on your bucket list, I wholeheartedly recommend trusting Adventurous Ewe to get you there.
